Field Hockey: D-R Earns Crucial Win Over Old Rochester

The Falcons (7-6-2) up-and-down season is back on the upswing after pivotal victory today over Old Rochester, 1-0.

Kaylee Goss scored the game’s lone goal on the afternoon on an assist from Lexi Lovell and Emily Reid. Abby Behm earned the shutout with five saves.

“We played as a team today,” said head coach Meghan Marcotte. “Especially in the second half. We made it our focus to do the little things right. Our passing and communication was on.”

The Falcons have two games remaining and must earn one more point to qualify for the state tournament.

D-R plays next Thursday in the South Coast Conference crossover game and follows that up with their season finale vs. Martha’s Vineyard the next day.
