Football: Case Remains Undefeated; Seekonk Wins Second Straight

Case 26, Bourne 6

The Cardinals won their third straight game of the season with a convincing win over South Coast Conference foe Bourne, 26-6.

Senior Jeremy Thiboutot rushed for 136 yards on 16 carries, scored a touchdown and intercepted a pass.

Junior Chris Costa rushed for 111 yards on 15 carries. Costa had two first quarter touchdowns – one via the ground and one on a reception from quarterback Devin Proulx.

Proulx added a rushing touchdown of his own to put an exclamation point on the victory for the Cardinals.

The Cardinals host Fairhaven next Friday.

Seekonk 29, Apponequet 7

The score was deadlocked at seven until the Warriors had a fourth quarter 22-point explosion.

Quarterback Terry Smith tossed four touchdowns in the win for Seekonk who improved to 2-1 with the win over the Lakers.

Cam Sears hauled in two touchdown passes. Shane Smith and Spencer Dowty caught one touchdown pass apiece in the win.

Sears added to his career day by picking off an Apponequet pass on the defensive side. Glenn Catt forced and recovered a fumble for the Warriors.

The Warriors travel to Bourne next Friday seeking win number three of the season.
