The Falcons boys and girls cross country teams both finished over .500 in the South Coast Conference in 2016, but 13th year head coach Ben Pease knows the athletes have to work hard to replicate that success.
“Our team is in rebuilding mode and has worked hard over the summer in all aspects of training and conditioning,” said Pease. “We’ll be ready to do our best.”
The loss of last year’s seniors, especially Kyle Rendon on the boys’ side, leaves a void. Coach Pease recognizes that the Falcons will need to work hard to get back to over .500.
“Our goals are to train and race as a unified team and do each day’s work to the best of our ability, individually and collectively,” said Pease.
The Falcons first meet is on September 12th at Bourne against Bourne and Case.
